I was born in 1984 in Spišská Nová Ves. After graduating from the Elementary Art School I continued my studies at the SPŠD in Spišská Nová Ves (1998 – 2002), department of Construction and Furniture and Interior Design. In the studio lead by akad. arch. Ján Kopnický, I have mastered the basics of work in furniture and interior design with focus on detail, culminating in the final thesis and the Priestor 2002 exhibition in the Spiš Artists’ Gallery. Following graduation from the secondary school, my studies continued at the Department of Interior Design and Counselling at the Technical University in Zvolen (2002 – 2006). Having attended the workshops lead by Mgr. art. Wolfgang Haipl, my interest in the field of interior and design deepened and matured, with experiences reflecting in my furniture design up to date. Thereafter, I completed a second degree studies at the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology (2006 – 2008) in the same field, graduating with the diploma thesis with my consultant, prof. Ing. arch. akad. arch. Ivan Petelen. The thesis was nominated for the prof. Lacko Award. During the studies already, I was actively collecting work experience, which provided a practical valorisation of information acquired during training. After school, I decided to take my own route in this area and in 2008 I started working at various projects under the DAAR studio (design and architecture) and at the same time cooperated with the prestigious STOPKA interior studio at various projects in Prague and Bratislava (2008 – 2011). At that time, I also obtained an offer for cooperation with the renowned manufacture of ceramic solutions from the Company KERABEN S.A. (2011 – 2013) and my professional growth got a new dimension, as I was working as project manager for the Slovak Republic and the design experiences were complemented by skills in planning, management and coordination of assigned projects at all stages and at the same time the support and participation in creating corporate culture and policy. Nowadays, I am trying to valorise all these experiences and return to my own route, however under my own name.
I returned to my own business in the DAAR studio, where I work as the creative designer having experience of more than seven years, utilizing my knowledge in technology, design and architectural procedures, project management and construction technologies as well as construction materials. My strongest assets include creativity, discipline, professionalism, managerial abilities, multi-tasking, punctuality and eagerness to learn, to develop the highest standards. I am always looking for opportunities to improve myself as a designer as well as individual.
